About Mountain View Daycare
MVD opened July 5th, 2022! It is owned and managed by Rachel Spaid, who is the director and main provider. After moving to Missoula in 2021 from Kalispell, she saw the need for childcare in the area. This spurred her to look into opening her own location. It fell into place very quickly, and she is so excited to be caring for so many amazing children. MVD operates out of Elevate church in Missoula.
MVD is centered around play based learning, and will be screen free. There are 2 TV screens in 2 of the rooms that are only used by the church on Sundays.
The main room
This room has dramatic play, puzzles, books and blocks. Great for imaginative play, open ended play, and fine motor skills.
Gross Motor Room
This room is where the children can run, jump, climb (floor couch), play music, dance and bounce (rody and other riding toy).
Meal and Art Room
This room is for meal times (when the weather doesn't allow us to eat outside), and art! Children will be able to get messy and have fun being creative.
Outdoor Area
This area is completely fenced in, directly out the front door of the daycare. The large play structure will be going away soon. Children will be able to run and play outdoors every chance we get. Weather and sleeping infant permitting, we will do as much of our day outside as we can.
